Hello! My name is Serene. I was born in Fujian, China, and later moved to Shenzhen for work, where I founded a digital marketing company. Now in my 50s, with more than half of my life behind me, I consider Shenzhen my second hometown — I’ve been living and working here for many years and hold a local household registration (hukou).
I have a deep passion for English, Western culture, and philosophy, especially the history of ancient Rome and Greece. Outside of work, I enjoy traveling and have visited many places across China, gaining rich travel experiences along the way.
The reason I started this blog comes from a special encounter. One day, a foreign tourist in Shenzhen asked me for directions. As we talked, I realized that much of the travel information online doesn’t truly reflect the reality of the city. As a long-time resident, I decided to create a travel blog to share accurate, up-to-date, and practical information with international visitors.
Through this blog, I hope to help travelers from around the world explore Shenzhen with ease and experience the vibrant charm of this amazing city.
